WHEN WILL SCHOOL OPEN?

The San Benito County Polytechnic Academy is scheduled to open August 2025

WHERE IS THE SCHOOL LOCATED?

The SBC Polytechnic Academy is located at 790 Bolsa Rd, Hollister California

WHAT GRADE LEVELS ARE ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND?

Any San Benito County students attending grades 9th, 10, 11th, or 12th.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO ATTEND?

Current enrollment is limited to 200 students. The total school capacity will be 500 students.

WHAT SCHOOL DISTRICT IS THIS SCHOOL BE A PART OF?

The SBCPA is a public charter school and its own Local Education Agency. The San Benito County Office of Education has oversight of the school.

WHAT INDUSTRY PATHWAYS WILL SBC POLYTECHNIC ACADEMY OFFER STUDENTS?

SBC Polytechnic Academy will offer students industry pathways in Agriculture Science and Technology, Construction Trades and Community Development, and Healthcare Sciences.

WHY DUAL ENROLLMENT OVER ADVANCE PLACEMENT (AP) CLASSES?

Dual enrollment students receive college credit for courses completed with a “C” or better.

WILL TEACHERS HAVE TEACHING CREDENTIALS?

All classroom teachers are required to have valid California teaching credential.

HAS THIS CHARTER SCHOOL BEEN APPROVED?

The San Benito County Board of Education approved the school at their October 5, 2023, meeting.

WILL THIS SCHOOL REQUIRE A BOND TO BE BUILT?

No, the school will not require the passage of a bond to build the school.

IS THIS A FOR-PROFIT SCHOOL?

No, the SBCPA will be a public charter high school operated by a not-for-profit organization.

Any San Benito County high school student can enroll.
